"Ruction" - noun [$10] colloquial
Ruction means 1. a disturbance or tumult; 2. (in plural) unpleasant arguments or reactions.
Sentence:  Ructions among members cause many volunteer organizations to disband.

  2. no, spin, it's a word I read in a book over the weekend and I thought about a club that used to put on a fine MG event that broke up over squabbling and misbehavior about five years ago. The breakup hurt a community in New England that got lots of tourist $ (and needed it).

    I was a mere observer.

  6. hmmm $16 million / $35/oz = 457,000 oz. (troy)

    = 38,095 lbs. (troy) = 31,483 lbs.

    = 15.74 tons.

    One halftrack could cary about 5 tons. A 2 1/2 ton truck could carry 2 1/2 tons :)

    But don't forget the Tiger Tank ...

  13. re gaps, I believe that gaps usually get filled BUT not always.

    The spreadsheet was very flat all around this morning. No reason to change now ... I missed a couple buys last week, seems like I wil get a second crack at teh plate.

    My last moves were selling ... buying on dips is the preferred action now.

    A US default would probably make me widen the signals a lot.

  16. Devens used to be Fort Devens, an Army base. No surprise if they still have some presence for reserves or national guard ...

    I think I'm about 50 miles from there.
