Bear Raid

Beefer bears are raiding again, I guess on that China tariff news. Now why it's "bearish" for China to be treated like any other country (and not a command economy like the old Soviet Union) is hard for me to understand. Hence I re-entered my bid for the S&P index calls. I might get them this time.

PS: I got them. Now the worry begins. I am pretty net long now, effectively. India stocks are getting hammered as the India Central Bank raised rates again to control inflation. My India stocks are a very LT play. I'll wait & watch & add selectively when the dust settles.

  5. lol, Bud the city slicker ;-)

Tough one mfl. In the 1980s I read a super book on all commodities - it had all sorts of supply & demand info & trends, etc. But I threw it away when I moved offices in 1994 & it's out of print - I can't even remember the name now.

I'll write about some research places soon.

  9. Hmmm. Maybe that reference to "cud" I made a few posts ago slipped past the cityboys.

"cud" : food regurgitated from the first stomach to the mouth of a ruminant and chewed again.

Hmmm, a "ruminant" is a cow, sheep, goat, deer or a giraffe, in case you wondered. They have a multiple compartment stomach & chew cud. Lol.

  10. Hmm, I guess I'm technically a "cityboy", having grown up in a metropolis of 13,000 people in the middle of nowhere in the hill country of rural Ohio.
