"Confabulate" - verb, intransitive [$10]
Confabulate means 1. converse, chat; 2. (Psychology) fabricate imaginary experience as compensation for loss of memory.

    I don't think this bit of inflation will persist.

    I also think the economy will pick up.

    Hence no stag' and no 'flation.
