I overslept - more later.
Some News - Des Nouvelles
** The Bloviator wants a date with Iran. With her in a burka, I suspect he won't get far.
** Leon Black of Apollo "warns" about commercial property losses for banks. I suppose he wants more victims. Interesting past - do a search on him with now defunct Credit Lyonnaise.
From the Internet: "The defendants' motion to dismiss the Attorney General's case comes almost a month after the insurance commission entered into a key immunity deal with Leon Black and two of his partners at Apollo Advisors L.P., who served as financial advisors on the Executive Life sale. Black and his partners, Craig Cogut and John Hannan, agreed to testify against Credit Lyonnais and the other defendants in exchange for the insurance commission agreeing not to sue Apollo. "
A lot more is available online.
** Chavez nationalizes another bank in Venezuela. He's leading that bation back to the 19th century.
** Beefers barging into commodities. And Blabberg says the financial group is the only group up for the year so far. Interesting.
** Bigtime bonus tax coming on persons working for companies getting aid. This is just the beginnning. And something really is needed here. The guys at the top are taking far more than they have proven themselves to be worth.
I expect JPM, GS, etc to raise capital to repay the TARP, or just cut lending and send it back.
Word of the Day
"Retradition" - noun [$1000] rare
Retradition means the action of handing back.
Sentence: Retradition of a few excess AIG bonuses has been announced, but for most, I suspect some stick will be necessary.
Le Mot Du Jour
Clôture - noun, feminine
Clôture means 1. fence, hedge, wall; 2. closing, closure; 3. closing date (de for).
La Phrase: Hier en clôture, Wall Street a été en baisse.
Sentence: Yesterday at closing, Wall Street was lower.

Bman is there a danger in buying a used gun ?? what if it was used in a crime ??

guns ammo food society is coming.......i.e. armageddon
i am going to be prepared
Yesterday was a typical example of Congression stupidy and an attempt to grab a headline to cover it up.
No problem buying a used gun - just check it over closely.
Ultra-unlikely to have been in a crime - criminals don't sell guns to dealers. And there would be paperwork to prove one did not own it at time of (prior) crime.
let's see...........you deposit funds in the national bank of costa rica......you fishing surfing partying with young girls......and then one day your atm card doesn't work
'the sandanista's ' have seized all private property in the peoples revolution

"unintendended consequences"
I guess its a race now to pay back all funds by all banks...
that should really stimulate lending...lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
try nuts and dried fruit, Bud. Plenty of calories and nutricious.
Just rotate through the stockpile.
Canned tuna is ok, mixed with a spicy sauce. I sometimes eat it for lunch mixed with some raisins, nuts and pickles.
btw, the best dried fruits are at Trader joe's stores. Ditto nuts.
uh ... Bud ... you can also learn to trap your own food wiht snares and traps. Lots of rats in cities ... fried rat tastes like chicken ... just add a little Tabasco sauce.
;)
where my 'ops expo open interest' spreadsheet ????
Bud may I suggest nutria....excellent source of protein....boil in a pot, throw some veggies in with it...makes a tasty stew
we all know when the walls come down the first to go will be brown...no doubt packs will tribe with their own...Paki on a stick, tastes like chicken.
perhaps a lil test run bbq in order this weekend...preperatoin is the key...I'll leave a light on.
a hot head that says "gimme a f***ing break" all the time shouldnt own a gun...going to CAB ..to survive???...buy a fishing pole and a sharp knife....
'first to go will be brown'
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
PS.....frosty just wrapped up the mvp award........no ballots needed
In my opion, a good choice for survival weapons are a revolver and lever action rifle using compatible cartridges.
For example, a lever action rifle that can fire .38 spl. or .357 magnum with a revolver that can fire both .38 spl. or .357 magnum.
With a 16" barrel, that .357 magnum has serious velocity on exit - hits almost like a .30-30.
the answer to last nites question is.......... "a cabinet"
:-)
ya bud u really got your finger on the pulse of costa rica! i guess chavez can just take over the country and take my money out of wells fargo...........

the answer to last nites question is.......... "a cabinet"

Bud your best bet is not a gun, but disguise, camouflage...to start, ditch the silk shirts and Mr T starter kit...bib overalls, work boots, Iowa State T's etc., the look of the common working man who's skin is tanned from hard labor in the sun.
Do you common men who labor in the sun drive home in a Volkswagen Passat? That could blow one's cover...
listen you prick
