Sheep Herding

I'll be taking my two Kelpies to sheep herding class this morning :-))

They just love it - I think since they were bred for it, actually herding might excite lots of neural and emotional activity for them. It's quite physically demanding, too.

Gold is up again - closing in on $700. I like the lack of press attention. Maybe this is the big one?

Countrywide laying off people - uh, weren't they bragging about hiring to gain "market share" as few weeks ago?

Hmm, that reminds me. Here's my "never trust" list:

Never trust a man with a very good tan in a suit ;-))))

Never trust a company that is building a new, gold plated corporate HQ.

Never trust a company with a headquarters in NY, NJ or CT that is not in finance or media or advertising. The CEO is more interested in his social life than the business.

There might be more, but that's all I can remember now.

Miners are up on takeover talks.

PS: back for a while. Sky & Krypto are really getting good at the sheep herding. Sky was reading how the sheep turned their heads and then moved to cut them off. He was using a clever serpentine motion to push the "mob" around. And he's learning his circling commands - they need to know the clockwise command "go by" and the counterclockwise command "way". Sky's actually a bit better than Krypto. They both did the "down" at a distance while distracted, too.

Yes I am keeping my gold comments to myself so as not to mush the move....

OMG, to see how deep and hard the philly mush is please watch the phillies splat job in the 8th and 9th innings yesterday. im lucky i wasnt home watching it, just keeping tabs on espn's scoreboard. mite have had to shoot the big screen if i was home. 4 or 5 broken bat singles in the 8th?

how is the market these days? i have forgotten it exists. blood pressure keeps dropping down to 125 over 87 from 145 over 100, i wonder why? LOL

bman, how about never trust a born again? im sure thier r exceptions to the rule but i have yet to meet an exception.

never trust frosty either. :-)

true frosty, employment /unemployment is a lagging number. The jobless numbers this morning were normal.

I'm not sure if bad is good or if its bad. Maybe just on the low side is good. A negative number might be bad.

Or if good is good.

I just think they should have cut in June. 5.25% is tight money and is too high wiht core CPE yoy under 2%

The Fed should know that employment lags and that a cut is needed for glide path & touch & go solid continuation of the economy at low inflation.

I'd like a 50,000 jobs number; maybe anything between +25,000 and +99,000 is OK with me.

uh ... oil is almost $77 in a declining demand period. Gold is ... doing well :-)))

Oh, the iPhone is working well. I could check my stocks in the sheep field :-))

Hmmm I need to see if I can blog with it. Gotta check.

Frosty said...

oil indeed...the end is near Bunkerman...exactly the type of thing the fed is worried about...the infaltion box tightens again.

Frosty said...

USO...ok Bunkerma I hear you....shorted USO to capture some of that terror premium on the downside.

I would add some more color to the trades posted, but I need to keep it simple for Bud.

Frosty said...

Bud...speaking of simple reminds me of simple single minded barney frank...he agrees with most of the plan W was forced into to providing. known as the free liar condo program, but thinks congress needs to do more...well what would that be...that is yet to be determined let alone proposed...he just knows that whatever comes the white house is lacking...weak...at least the hildog is willing to indicate that we should steal from big oil and private investors to provide the cheese.

Bud said...

at least barney doesn't get himself off by cruising rest rooms in airports......he orders up a hooker in his suite.....he's got class

PS....'W was forced'......lmaooooo

fed innjected 31.5 billion. they really must be sweating inflation??????!!!!!!!!

inflation is too many dollars chasing to few guds, no?

BLS wage # and productivity (again) look made up.

hmmm fed injected a ton today, after seeing the employment report yesterday.

"new tampa" is in a depression. this is freaking insane. foreclusers and abandoning issues every where i look. but they keep building stuff.

property taxes which were "guranteed" to go lower, went up 3%. what a bunch of bs!

die phillies die!
