Go Tribe!

Cleveland won last night, and now lead the Red Sox 2 games to 1. Yayyyyyyyy!!!

Chinese bank Citic wants to invest in Bear, Stearns. Dopes! Good, let them get eaten by those pirahnas.

Oil still moving up - over $87 this AM. Global demand must be very strong.

Gold up again this AM.

I have to sell partial positions in a few stocks this AM and the next few days - just re-balancing in my Alpha Fund as I added to the big cap fins yesterday. I'm too long. I just pick them based on allocations to groups and which stocks qualify for long term gains for taxes.

Otherwise, nothing has changed in my humble opinion.

BAC filled the gap we discussed yesterday and sitting right at the 50 sma this morning, 50.66 exactly at the moment..go get them Bunkerman.

I was impatient and paid around 51 yesterday. Oh well.

what are we selling...perhaps the bunker can front run those sales, certainly you are going to move them :)

I'm not selling anything that I think looks like a sale. I just pick whatever is now a long term position.

I did keep CLF, because it looks good, although it is a LT gain.

Bunkerman your boy Buffett trimming some of his BNI....cnbc says you should be worried....are you?

Bunkerman said...

I saw he trimmed UNP and NSC, but not BNI. Did I miss something?

Bunkerman said...

bought some more BNI. That's enough for now.

Bunkerman said...

BNI is a long term play, in case I didn't make that clear. I figure I'll have it at this time next year.

sure looks like more elephants stomping at the drying waterhole.

"They" run up miners, tehn sell moners. "They" kNock down oils, then run oils up. I wonder when "they" will run out of XLF to short?

Bunk any thoughts on IRE and that Div?

Bunkerman said...

no idea, spin.

As a famous military man said, "I know nothing"

perhaps I heard it wrong.....

B'man have you noticed silver's lagging of gold? any thoughts?

Bunkerman said...

beefers are probably favoring gold for the dollar reasons. Plus gold has seasonal physical buying strength in winter.

Silver has industrial uses so all the recession hub-bub babble might be hurting it.

BWLD....there is your tribe to the world series play Bunkerman....like how it sets up from a technical perspective...printing an N7 inside day just above the 20 sma....30% of their stores are in OHIO....wings, tribe and world series baseball...that is the triple play.

Bunkerman said...

interesting one, frosty. Should I break my "no small four letter stocks" vow?

Bunkerman said...

took some. It looks a bit cheap to me, too. And the weekly has a good uptrend channel

Frosty said...

BWLD...go for it Bunkerman...go tribe.

Frosty said...

Bunkerman...crude front month margin increasing by 30% out months by 17%...that should take some lead out of the pencil of the oil monkeys shouldn't it...hard to find USO to borrow...think I'll take another order of wings and enjoy the tribe in the fall classic...now that this common man may be able to fill the tank.

Bunkerman said...

that margin comment was a bit cryptic, frosty.

go tribe !!!

Frosty said...

they are raising margin requirements in the crude pits...decreasing the ammount of leverage that can be used....will that help the price of crude some in?

Frosty said...

will oil go lower....sorry

Bunkerman said...

I don't think margin requirements really matter much in the pits. No sane person comes close to those limits.

Remember that in the futures, for every long there is a short. So it affects both. The exception is commercial hedgers who have very low margin reqs.
