John Paul Stevens, Socialist Tool

John Paul Stevens has struck again, delivering the opinion for a 5-4 Supreme Court decision that the EPA can regulate carbon dioxide as a "pollutant", which is supremely laughable since carbon dioxide is essential to all plant life and is exhaled by all mammals. I guess he thinks life is pollution of the "pure" Earth. Maybe the Moon is his ideal - a dead rock. Recent discovery that the Martian polar caps are disappearing is ignored - I guess those Martians have invisible SUVs.

John Paul Stevens also wrote that despicable Kelso decision that decreed that all land is held at the behest of our lords in government and if we don't use it to their liking, they can take it and give it to more favorable serfs.

He's a walking example of the need for term or age limits at the Supreme Court, or periodic ratification elections. If they want to rule by decree, they should at least win an election. Even super thug Chavez did, before he began seizing property.

Like Kelso, this decison ranks in the class of Dred Scott, a disaster of court legislating from the bench.

strongly agree. what r these guys thinking? global warming seems highley debatable. the complete wiping out of eatable fish (source national geographic) from our seas seems like a much more pressing issue. according to the info the past two months sharks and even yeloow fin tuna r fading like a sunset.

this weekend i was talking to a mom. she told me i was being selfish for not having kids yet. i crushed her bad. the world is way overpopulated, and its getting a lot worse. probably the least selfish thing to do is not having kids. but what america really needs is for every 2 white crackers sponging off welfare is to make another 5 kids that learn how to work the system by the time they r 15.

yes, there are so many much important environmental matters - so much money is going to be wasted on global warming - it's sickening.

Wow Bunkerman. I have so much to say...and so little time. Do you really not believe that 'tailpipe emmissions' are pollutants? Did you really go to Harvard and MIT? More to follow later.

P.S. Yesterday was a historic day for people who want to keep the earth clean for our great grandchildren.

uh, Bud, carbon dioxide is the same the Universe over. Maybe you never took chemistry? ;-)

To clarify, I mean that there's no tag on those molecules no matter where they come from. It's like saying oxygen could be a "pollutant" if it comes from the "wrong" source.

Or hydrogen, nitrogen, or even water.

Speaking of water, did you know that water vapor in all its forms contributes about 90% of the "greenhouse effect" that produces global warming, much, much more than carbon dioxide (distant 3rd place)? So do we regulate water vapor from tailpipes, too? So then those great hydrogen cars are polluters, making massive contributions to global warming. Under the Stevens illogic, that is now law, too. EPA to regulate water emmissions. Wowza. What idiocy!

[one reason water molecules contribute so much to trapping heat is due to the asymmetric geometry of the water molecule - it has many more vibrational & rotations energy levels that trap heat.]

bud u r in over your head in this debate. like me with my CEGE sh.

:-(

I appreciate the debate. It's given me another idea for a post. hehehe. ;-)

Uh Mern......science is on my side in this debate. There is a consensus among the world's scientists that global warming is a severe threat to our planet's future. I will have a detailed post later tontite for all to read.

P.S. Btw Mern.....you and our retarded President ( as Chris Rock called him) are on the same side on global warming. You probably also don't believe in evolution then.

There was "consensus" that Galileo was wrong, too. Ditto that witches caused global cooling in the 16th century.

Somehow that "consensus" never asks meteorologists, etc.

And that "consensus" recently used a discredited, error-filled claim(the so-called "hockey-stick" - full of both math & data errors) to "prove" human causality. That "consensus" is just the propaganda machine of the environmental totalitarians of the 21st century. More later on this. Thanks for energizing my "little grey cells" ;-)
